Music Visualization

Objectives
Explore music and sound through illustrative visualization, capturing the mood and tone of three different songs including,

Dave Brubeck – “Take Five”
Pixies – “Cecilia Ann”
Nightmares on Wax – “You Wish”

Execution
Listening to each song multiple times and incorporating visual representation of select sounds and musical instruments through colours and shapes captures the different tone of each song. The analogous colour harmonies across each piece, in addition to large organic shapes and pops of texture, allows each design to work independently as well as part of a series.
